Sarah was born in England and came to Canada as a child in 1972, spending the rest of her childhood and youth in Vancouver. Having very keen, adventurous parents, they toted the family everywhere in B.C. giving the family a good glimpse of what lay outside the lower mainland.
The draw to England was still strong so after university, Sarah moved to England, Austria, and Italy to work as an ESL teacher. Eventually resting back in North Vancouver, Sarah trained in her true vocation: horticulture. After receiving a Diploma in Landscape Horticulture, she worked for West Van Parks and eventually wrote and taught curricula for Capilano University. With a growing family, Sarah transitioned to part time work at St. Martin’s Anglican Church in North Vancouver. This was a joyful time and after eight years, Sarah and her family moved to Nanaimo to be closer to her parents.
Sarah is very happy to be able to continue working in a church setting.
