We proclaim Christ's love and welcome all as we serve God and God's creation. Located in the heart of downtown Nanaimo, we embrace many opportunities to share the love of God with those who come through our doors. This is your church, a place of hospitality, refuge and hope. We look forward to welcoming you. Please join us!
As a parish in the heart of Nanaimo there are many opportunities to share the Gospel. Each day is a “new day” in living out the Good news of Jesus Christ. At St. Paul's we also celebrate a well-balanced and rich music program. If you are looking for a community to be part of in worship and/or sharing the mission of the Gospel in Jesus Christ, please join us!
At St. Paul's we love the gift of story and humour and we look forward to meeting you soon!
We are a totally accessible facility. Our church parking lot allows entry to the church via an accessibility ramp, and an elevator takes you downstairs to our Centre for Ministry and Community Service.
Our Parish Office is open Monday to Friday from 9:30 am to 12:30 noon. Our Parish Administrator is assisted by a parish volunteer receptionist each day. In our reception area we have a comfy corner with easy chairs and a small religious library for you to browse. Our volunteer receptionist welcomes visitors, conducts tours of the church and answers any questions.
As the only church in the heart of downtown Nanaimo, we see lots of activity. Every Monday, Nanaimo Foodshare offers a free meal in our Centre for Ministry and Community Service. On the 3rd Tuesday of each month we distribute $15 grocery cards to those in need. These cards are made available through the generosity of the parish. Our volunteers also provide information on services available in Nanaimo through shelters, the food bank, 12-step programs as well as many others.
